Detective Kyle Gilmartin, a nine-year veteran of the Scranton Police Department, is known for his unwavering dedication to protecting and serving our community. As a key member of the major crimes unit and the auto theft task force, his commitment has been a beacon of hope and security in Scranton.
However, in the early hours of January 11, 2024, a routine investigation turned tragic. While investigating multiple reports of shots fired in the city, Detective Gilmartin sustained severe injuries and is currently fighting for his life.
This campaign is not just another initiative for us. As a family-owned local agency, we feel a profound connection to this cause. Having family in local law enforcement – one of whom works alongside Detective Gilmartin – this tragedy hits incredibly close to home. It’s a stark reminder of the risks our law enforcement officers face every day to keep our communities safe.
In response to this tragic event, we’re launching a special fundraising campaign. We’re putting our skills to work by designing a range of merchandise – including shirts, mugs, and hats – featuring artwork that honors Detective Gilmartin’s bravery and dedication. Each item reflects our deep respect for his service and symbolizes the community’s united support during this challenging time.
Every penny raised from this campaign will go directly to supporting Detective Gilmartin’s wife and their family.
